 Getting from the main railway station of Freudenstadt to the hotel:We will provide a pick up service for arrivals between 13:00 and 18:00. People arriving earlier or later will have to take a taxi. For the pick up, please inform us via e-mail about your approximate arrival time and give us a call once you arrived at the main railway station under 07441 95099-0.Reaching Freudenstadt/Lauterbad from the surrounding airports:There are several airports with international connections in the surrounding of Freudenstadt. We recommend either flying to Stuttgart airport or Frankfurt airport and to take a train to Freudenstadt.Stuttgart airport: Stuttgart airport is served by several international carriers such as Lufthansa, Air France, Delta, Germanwings, Hapag Loyd, ... We recommend taking the S-Bahn from the Stuttgart airport to the main railway station, from where you can catch a train to Freudenstadt (a possible selections of trains from the Stuttgart main railway station is provided here). There are also several car rental companies in the airport. With the car you will need ~1-1.5 hours to Freudenstadt-Lauterbad. Frankfurt airport: Frankfurt airport is served by all major international carriers. We recommend to take the train from the airport railway station to Freudenstadt. The trip will take approximately ~2-3 hours. You can find a possible selection of trains here. Driving by car will take ~ 3 hours. Baden-Airpark: Served by several smaller, low cost carriers such as Ryanair, dba, ... You will have to take a bus to either reach Rastatt main railway station or Baden-Baden main railway station. Traveling by train to Freudenstadt should approximately take 1 hour (a possible selections of trains from Rastatt main railway station is provided here). There are several rental car companies. With the car you will need ~1 hour to Freudenstadt. Munich airport: Munich airport is served by several international carriers. Traveling by train to Freudenstadt takes about 4-5 hours. You can find a possible selection of trains here. You can also find some driving directions in German on the web-page of the Waldhotel Zollernblick. Presentation EquipmentThe lecture hall will be equipped with a beamer and a transparency projector. We will also provide a standard Windows PC running under Windows XP with USB port and CD/DVD-Rom having Ghostview, Acrobat Reader, and Microsoft Power Point installed.Informations for Poster PresentersWe have two dedicated poster sessions consisting of a 3 minute brief presentation for every poster contribution followed by an open discussion part of ~1 hour at the posters. During the open discussion you should be present at your poster. For the brief presentation you should limit yourself to a maximum of 2-3 transparency slides (no beamer!).Every presenter poster presenter has space for an A0 poster either landscape or portrait (1.2m x 1.2m of space). You should mount your poster in the morning at the dedicated space and leave it there the whole day. We will provide the required mounting material (tape + mounting pins). Internet Access:We will provide free Internet access to all participants, most probably via one or two stationary PC's and possibly wireless lan.Electricity The German electricity system operates with 220 V and 50 Hz using so called type C sockets. Please bring a suitable adapter if needed. WeatherYou can obtain a current weather forcast for Freudenstadt here. The weather at the end of August should be comfortable, neither to cold, nor to warm. The average temperature is around 23°C with an absolute high of 33.5°C and a low of 13°C. There are about 6-10 days with (weak) rain.
