The conference will be held at the University of Stuttgart.
The city of Stuttgart is the state capital of Baden-
Württemberg with a population of about 550.000. It is the
cultural centre of the region with a high quality of life in a
lovely landscape of forests and vineyards. Stuttgart is not only famous
for its automobile industry but is
also an internationally recognized place of research and development in
Biotechnology and Life Sciences. The proximity of the University of
Tübingen focussing on medical research makes the
Stuttgart-Tübingen area to one of the leading regions of
Biotechnology in Germany.

How to reach
Stuttgart
The city of Stuttgart is connected to the German high speed railway
system
and can thus be reached very efficiently by train from all major cities
in
Europe. The railway timetable can be found at:

When coming from oversees there are essentially three airports that
serve
the greater Stuttgart area:
- Stuttgart International Airport (airport code STR)
Stuttgart airport is served by most major airlines and a number of
budget
airlines offering very cheap tickets
(from Stuttgart airport it is a 20 minutes subway ride to the
conference
location or a 30 minutes ride to Stuttgart downtown)
- Frankfurt International Airport (airport code FRA)
(Frankfurt airport is connected to Stuttgart via the high speed trains
ICE.
The travel time is 75 minutes and trains depart every hour)
- Munich Airport International (airport code MUC)
(Travel time from Munich airport to Stuttgart is 3hrs with trains
departing
every hour)
How to reach the Conference Site
- Arriving at the Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (Main railway station):
At Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (Main railway station) take S-Bahn S1
(towards Herrenberg/Böblingen) or S2/S3 (towards
Vaihingen/Flughafen) until stop "Universität". Take the exit
towards "Universitätszentrum".
- Arriving at Stuttgart International Airport:
At the airport take the S-Bahn S2 or S3 towards Hauptbahnhof (Main
railway station) until the stop "Universität". Please take the
exit towards "Universitätszentrum".
- Arriving by car from
highway A8:
At the highway junction Stuttgart turn into the highway A 831 towards
Stuttgart city. Leave at the exit "Universität".
