  • Best SimTech PhD Student Publication 2011 with International Collaboration is awarded to Marcus Reble for his paper "Model predictive control of constrained nonlinear time-delay systems" at the SimTech Seminar that takes place December 5-7, 2012, in Bad Boll
  • Best Student Paper awarded to Daniella Schittler for her paper "A model for proliferating cell populations that accounts for cell types" at the Conference Workshop for Computational Systems Biology (WCSB 2012)
  • IEEE Student Travel Award is awarded to Benjamin Briegel for his paper "On the Zeros of Consensus Networks" at the 50th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) and European Control Conference (ECC) that takes place December 12-15, 2011, in Orlando, FL, USA..
  • SICE 2011 International Best Paper Award is awarded to Kenji Kashima for his paper "Connection Profile Robustness of Heterogeneous Network of Piecewise Affine FitzHugh-Nagumo Model" by Kenji Kashima, Antonis Papachristodoulou and Frank Allgöwer.
