The Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control
(Institut für Systemtheorie
und Regelungstechnik) was founded under the name "Institute for Systems Theory
in Engineering" in late 1999 at the
Department of Process Engineering and Engineering Cybernetics of
the University of Stuttgart
in an effort to further strengthen the systems orientation of
the department and to incorporate the area of systems and control
theory firmly in the research and teaching activities of the
department.
The Institute is responsible for research and teaching activities
in the areas of systems theory and control engineering for students
in the study fields Engineering Cybernetics, Process Engineering
and partly for Mechanical Engineering. More information on some
of the current
research projects, the
teaching activities,
our seminar program
etc. can be found on the corresponding pages.
