I did my doctoral thesis between 2003 and 2007 at the Center for Applied Computer Science of the University of Cologne under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Faigle. In this thesis, entitled 'Modeling Non-Linear Dynamic Phenomena in Biochemical Networks' (pdf), I investigated the dynamic behavior of biochemical networks.
I studied physics and mathematics at the Technical University Darmstadt, where I did my diploma about 'Neutrino Transport in Proto-Neutronensternen' (ps-File) in physics in 2002 working in the 'Nuclei, Hadrons and Quarks (NHQ) group'. After that, I obtained my 'Erstes Staatsexamen' in physics and mathematics in 2002.
