Website Portal
This website represents a small portal into my academic world with a hint of some other hobbies that help to round out my life. In here you can find a description of my research interests, publication list, and links to my other online identities and interests.
I am currently working at the University of Stuttgart as a post-doctoral research associate and lecturer with the Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control (IST). I have been in German and at the IST for two years now, and my time here has been very enriching and wonderful from both personal and academic perspectives.
Before Germany I was at the University of Washington where I completed my PhD in the Aeronautics & Astronautics department. I moved to Seattle in 2004 after spending a little over 3 years working in Japan. While in Japan I worked for Texas Instruments on audio compression algorithms, but ended up on a slightly different career path teaching English to business professionals and high school students.
