Stuttgart-Feuerbach – Students from the Cybernetics Research Fellowship visited the Bosch site in Stuttgart-Feuerbach, immersing themselves in the technologies driving the mobility transformation. The program focused on the project “Power Package for the Climate – Electrifying Long-Haul Trucks with Hydrogen,” which was honored with the German Future Prize.
On site, participants attended technical presentations on the fuel cell and water electrolysis. They learned how the Fuel Cell Power Module converts hydrogen into electricity, enabling heavy-duty trucks to travel long distances virtually emission-free. Electrolysis technology also offered a glimpse into the future of the hydrogen economy, producing climate-neutral hydrogen from water and renewable electricity.
Afterward, a guided tour took them through the test centers in Feuerbach. The students were able to view the test benches for fuel cell stacks and electrolyzers up close and trace the journey from research to production readiness. The excursion vividly demonstrated how Bosch is advancing the key technologies for climate-neutral long-haul transport. The event concluded with a discussion session with Bosch employees.
