SUMMARY:Vortrag von Prof. Claudio De Persis
DESCRIPTION:Prof. Claudio De Persis\nJan C. Willems Center for Systems and Control \nUniversity of Groningen, The Netherlands\n \nTuesday 2020-01-28 14:00\nIST-Seminar-Room V9.2.255 - Pfaffenwaldring 9 - Campus Stuttgart-Vaihingen\nAbstract\nI introduce a new technique for directly designing control algorithms starting from input-output\ndata collected in a "one-shot" experiment performed on the system to control and without requiring\nany identification step. I show that such design reduces to the solution of data-dependent\nsemi-definite programs, which can be very efficiently solved. \nBiographical Information\nClaudio De Persis is a professor of Automatic Control with the Engineering and Technology\nInstitute and the J.C. Willems Center for Systems and Control, University of Groningen, the\nNetherlands. He received his PhD degree in Systems and Control from the University of Rome "la\nSapienza", Italy in 2000. Before joining the University of Groningen in 2011, he held various\nacademic positions at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, Yale University, CT, the University\nof Rome "la Sapienza" and the University of Twente, the Netherlands. His research interests are in\ncontrol theory and its applications.
