SUMMARY:Talk of Prof. Sergey Dashkovskiy
DESCRIPTION:Prof. Sergey Dashkovskiy\nDynamics and Control\nInstitute of Mathematics\nJulius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg\nWürzburg, Germany \nTuesday 2022-12-20 3 p.m.\nIST Seminar Room 2.255 - Pfaffenwaldring 9 - Campus Stuttgart-Vaihingen \nAbstract\nFor a wide class of nonlinear systems including infinite dimensional ones, which are subjected\nto impulsive actions and external distubances. We will discuss stability conditions of the\ndwell-time type guaranteeing the input-to-state stability. Lyapunov will be used to derive these\nconditions. Our results cover the situation, where both impulsive actions and the continuous\n(impulse free) dynamics are not stable simultaneously. \nBiographical Information\nSergey Dashkovskiy received the M.Sc. degree in applied mathematics from Moscow Lomonosov\nUniversity, Russia, in 1996, the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Jena in 2002,\nand the Habilitation from the University of Bremen, in 2009. He had visiting, deputy, and tenured\nProfessor positions with Arizona State University in 2007, University of Bayreuth in 2010, and\nUniversity of Applied Sciences Erfurt from 2011 to 2015, respectively. Since 2016, he has been a\nProfessor of Mathematics at the University of Würzburg. His current research interests include\nstability theory of nonlinear systems and their interconnections. Prof. Dashkovskiy is an Associate\nEditor for several journals in the field of dynamical systems and control, including IEEE\nTRANSACTIONS ON AUTOMATIC CONTROL, Nonlinear Analysis: Hybrid Systems, and IET Control Theory and\nApplications.
