Several problems in linear system theory can be naturally stated as the traditional eigenvalue, eigenvector problem subject to linear algebraic constraints. These include systems with input derivatives, systems with state or state and input constraints as examples. In this talk we will identify several of these problems and present computation techniques to solve the associated eigenvalue problem.
Pradeep Misra received his Bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India and PhD from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Since 1987 he has been on the faculty of Wright State University in Dayton, OH. His research interests include linear systems, computation, signal processing and with brief forays in consensus robotics, microwave theory, and structural fault analysis. He is a longtime volunteer for the IEEE, the IEEE Control Systems Society, the American Automatic Control Council and the International Federation of Automatic Control.
