We proudly announce that Sebastian Schlor has been awarded the prestigious IEEE CSS TCSP Best Student Paper Prize 2025 for his outstanding paper, “Bootstrapping guarantees: Stability and performance analysis for dynamic encrypted control" (full paper), coauthored by Prof. Frank Allgöwer.

An excerpt from the award committee's statement reads: “The selection committee was impressed by the compelling connection between bootstrapping errors in dynamic encrypted control and the robust control framework presented in this work. The discussion sheds light on future investigations into computationally efficient, privacy-preserving system control and encourages the community to revisit well-established control paradigms in the context of security and privacy.”

The prize is awarded for the best paper in the area of security and privacy of control systems published at CCTA 2024 or CDC 2024, whose primary contributor is a Student Member of the IEEE.

Congratulations, Sebastian, on this recognition!
