Minister of Science Petra Olschowski visited the Innovation Campus Cyber Valley in Stuttgart as part of her Summer Tour 2023 to explore the topics of the future: digitalization and artificial intelligence. During her visit to the Max-Planck-Institute for Intelligent Systems, she was presented with advancements in the field of intelligent robotics.

Professor Frank Allgöwer and two of his doctoral students, Robin Strässer and Felix Brändle, showcased an autonomously driving e-scooter to Minister Olschowski, which is being developed at the Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control at the University of Stuttgart. This e-scooter is a subproject of MobiLab and is intended to contribute to the University of Stuttgart's climate neutrality goals by 2030. The project serves as an ideal example of how intelligent robotics can contribute to sustainable mobility.

Further information about the Minister’s visit to Cyber Valley in Stuttgart can be found here and in a video report by regioTV.
