2 Milestone presentation
Content
The Labcourse Concepts of Automatic Control is designed to build on the fundamentals learned during the bachelor's program. Methods ranging from the modeling of a mechanical systemm through the simulation of the model, to controller design and implementation are explored in depth and applied to a real physical system.
The focus is on solving a specific problem as a group. Students are expected to develop the solution independently over the course of five afternoons and through homework assignments. Decisions and approaches are presented and explained in short presentations.
The physical system is a two-rotor helicopter mounted on an arm that can perform rotational movements. This model illustrates, on a small scale, the challenges encountered in a real helicopter.
