Concepts of Automatic Control Lab

WS 2025/26

Dozent: Prof. Dr.-Ing. F. Allgöwer

The labcourse Concepts of Control Automatic Control is designed to deepen the fundamentals learned in the bachelor's programme. Methods such as the modelling of a mechanical-electrical system, simulation of the model, and controller design and implementation are explored in depth and applied to a physical system.

The focus is on solving a specific problem in a group. The task is to be worked on independently over five afternoons and in the form of homework.

The physical system is a two-rotor helicopter that is attached to a boom and can perform rotational movements. This model reveals the difficulties that arise in a real helicopter on a small scale.
